Welcome
to our website. We've been online continuously since 1997. We've grown, we've learned, and we've had a lot of fun doing it. Now we've entered a new chapter, where all of our energy will be committed to our art and the display of it on this website. An online store is coming as well as videos we find that might be helpful to others in the continual learning process called photography. We hope you enjoy and please join us in making this a premier photographic website. Thank you in advance. Terry Cooper
Photography is....
the process, activity, and art of creating still images by recording radiation on a radiation-sensitive medium, such as a photographic film, or electronic image sensors. Photography uses foremost radiation in the UV, visible, and near-IR spectrum. Light reflected or emitted from objects form real image on a light sensitive area (film or plate)by means of a pin-hole or lens in a device known as a camera during a timed exposure
Camera Gear
ah, but this is where it all begins......which format is best for me. It used to be fairly simple. Point and shoot, 35mm, medium format, etc. Today, it all depends on the cameras functionality and image collection capabilities aka megapixel rating.
For those of us who grew up on film, there is something to be missed in running to your local lab with your precious rolls of film. Then the 2-3 day wait until finally your prints are ready. The anticipation of that 'one' shot, soon escapes as you move through the set of pictures. Alas, you must keep on that road to perfection, always seeking that one perfect 'shot'.
Image editing
Image editing encompasses the processes of altering images, whether they be digital photographs, traditional analog photographs, or illustrations. Traditional analog image editing is known as photo retouching, using tools such as an airbrush to modify photographs, or editing illustrations with any traditional art medium. Graphic software programs, which can be broadly grouped into vector graphics editors, raster graphics editors, and 3d modelers, are the primary tools with which a user may manipulate, enhance, and transform images. Many image editing programs are also used to render or create computer art from scratch. Contents reprinted from Wikipedia
